It’s that time of year again! Time to sign up and gear up for the 7^th annual OutRun Hunger 5K Family Walk & Run benefiting the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.

Registration has begun for the race which takes place Saturday, Sept. 28, at our Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive. As always, there will be a 5K and a kid’s fun run. The race fee is $30 for the 5K and $15 for the kid's run until Aug. 16 after which the price will increase. Last year’s "Run and Fundraise" option also returns allowing people to sponsor participants.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land is the title sponsor for the third year in a row. Many more opportunities are available with four levels of sponsorship — bronze for $250; silver, $350; gold, $500; and platinum, $1,000. Each level of sponsorship receives several entries, name or logo printed on the race t-shirt, mentions in social media and a vendor booth at the post-race party.

The top three male and female finishers in each age bracket will receive medals. A post-race party will feature a bounce house, face painters, vendors and balloon artist.

Last year, more than 480 runners and walkers, as well as 43 sponsors raised more than $34,000 for local families living in East Fort Bend County. The money raised helped Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry provide food and financial assistance to children, families and seniors. We’re hoping to raise even more for them this year!
