OutRun Hunger 5K Raises More Than $30,000

We invited you to OutRun Hunger to help feed hungry Fort Bend families and did you ever — this year’s OutRun Hunger 5k Family Walk and Run raised more than $30,000!

 While 52 generous sponsors contributed $19,750 to the total, much of the money was raised by the nearly 500 participants who walked, strolled, ran and raced this year. That’s the most people we’ve ever had participating in the annual run benefiting East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. It’s also the most money the run has ever raised.

 The money will be used by East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry to provide food and financial assistance to children, families and seniors. In 2021, the organization distributed $1,842,832 worth of food to families in need.

 The race ended with an after-party at the finish line for participants and their cheering squads. There was food, wine, merchants, balloon animals and tons of fun.

 The OutRun Hunger 5k Family Walk and Run is one of the highlights of our year. We love seeing so many families turning out for a great cause. We hope to see all of you again next year!
