Will We See You on 5K Race Day?

The Outrun Hunger 5K Family Walk & Run at Harvest Green is just around the corner on Saturday, Sept. 25. Will we see you on race day?

Registration for the annual event benefitting East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry is now open. Race fee is $25 for ages 13+, $15 for ages 4-12 and free for 3 and under. A $15 virtual run is available for all ages.

The annual race begins with an 8:30 a.m. kid’s run at the Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive, followed by a family 5K race at 9 a.m. There will be an after-party for participants and their cheering squad. We’ll keep you updated on the details.

Last year, we raised $15,000 for local families living in East Fort Bend County — all of it virtually!

Do you have a small business or just want to get your family’s name on the race t-shirt? We have sponsorships available. Four levels are available: Bronze for $100; silver, $300; gold, $500; and platinum, $1,000. Each level of sponsorship receives a number of entries. The company logo or family name will be printed on the race t-shirt if received by Sept. 10.

East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry is one of our favorite charities. The local non-profit that has been aiding families and individuals during times of temporary financial crisis since 1990. Last year, the organization distributed $616,336.49 worth of food to families in need, including 7,075 families who received 10,849 Covid-19 Relief Sacks.
