Village Farm CSA Begins Year 2Last year saw the start of our new resident Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. The response was so positive, that as we enter year two, we’ve decided to expand operations so more residents can participate. The program is a weekly subscription of vegetables and fruits grown right here on our Village Farm. Members receive six to eight seasonally available veggies. The boxed shares feed approximately one to three people. Even better, the selections can be customized to the needs of the individual subscriber. The produce is grown completely free of chemicals. Last month, the share included Merlot cabbage, baby leeks, Chioggia beets, White Russian kale, Wasabina mustards, arugula and fennel — all of it freshly picked and ready to be prepared in the beautiful kitchens of our Harvest Green homes. This is a great perk for residents who don’t even have to drive to pick up their boxes. Interested? We are in our Final Harvest but there are still some beautiful homes available in our “farm-tastic” community. Visit us now before they are gone. |
