Bowie Bears aim high in academics, in sports, and in life. Dedicated faculty inspires students toward academic excellence, responsible leadership, and personal integrity by encouraging respect and tolerance for others. The school boasts a strong academic curriculum, including pre-Advanced Placement courses, to prepare students for increasingly complex high school and college work. Students are encouraged to participate in elective subjects such as journalism, art, music, and drama to further develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Bowie athletes have won many awards over the years; they were the 2014 8A Division football champions and in 2019, the Lady Bears won the district volleyball contest.
